Motorola Files Patent Claims Against Apple

Libertyville, Ill. – Motorola (NYSE: MOT) on Wednesday filed patent infringement promises versus Apple (NASD: AAPL), alleging the company’s iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac desktops are infringing on Motorola patents. The business says Apple is violating 18 Motorola patents, associated to systems such as Apple’s MobileMe and App Store, as well as antenna design, wireless email, proximity sensing, computer software app management, location-based companies and multi-device synchronization.

Motorola the two sued Apple for patent infringement in federal courts in Illinois and Florida, and filed patent complaints versus Apple using the U.S. global make trades Commission (USITC).

The business is searching for an injunction and unspecified damages versus Apple within federal lawsuits, regardless of the reality that it requested the USITC for just about any ban on importation of Apple’s infringing companies in to the U.S. through the company’s Asian production partners.

Motorola’s actions versus Apple appear best after comparable patent infringement promises have been volleyed among Apple and Nokia in latest months, and Microsoft’s filing of the patent suit versus Motorola last month associated to cellular cellphone software.
