MacroMedia Flash, also knows as Adobe Flash, is a multimedia platform used to add animation, video, and interactivity to web pages. Flash is frequently used for advertisements, games and flash animations for broadcast. More recently, it has been positioned as a tool for “Rich Internet Applications” (”RIAs”). How to play MacroMedia Flash? MacroMedia Flash content can be displayed on computer and devices using MacroMedia / Adobe Flash Player or other player that support MacroMedia Flash.

If you have an animated graphic that was created with Macromedia Flash® and saved as a Shockwave® file (.swf file extension), you can play the file in a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation by using the ActiveX control called Shockwave Flash Object and the Adobe Macromedia Flash Player or DVD X Player.

Using the former tool would be a little trouble some. The Shockwave Flash Object must be registered on your computer for you to play the Flash file. And in order to make sure the complex animation run properly, you have to install the latest version of Flash Player even the Shockwave Flash Object are registered on your computer.

Using DVD X Player would be much easier. DVD X Player is a region free DVD player, media player. It supports DIVX, MPEG4, RM, QuickTime, WMV, WMV-HD, MacroMedia Flash and popular media formats of Internet.

Step 1 – Free download DVD X Player, install it on Windows and run it.

Step 2 – Play MacroMedia Flash file. Click “Open” button on DVD Player Control Panel, select “Play Media Files”; or right click video window, select “Play from” ->” “Play Media Files”, then select one or more MacroMedia Flash files, you will begin to play them.
