YouTube have a new look, but it is not active by default. Must enable it by following the steps we are going to show you.

If you want to enable the new graphics on YouTube, you have to connect to the homepage of Cosmic Panda Project (the code name Google has buckled to this redesign) and click on the blue button Try it out! which is located in the lower left. Within a few seconds, you will see a welcome message and you can start viewing your favorite videos “rocked” by a stylish new graphic theme.

In addition to the look dark, Cosmic Panda adds new tools for customizing channels, the ability to continue to watch videos while surfing the channels minimized (Chrome only) and other little goodies that you will find yourself using the new YouTube. Very interesting comments in the presence of the avatars and the ability to resize the player in four different ways.

Recommended Videos / Related are now available in a large space located below the player where normally there are comments that can be hidden if necessary to see, in fact, the previews of related videos. Pages with your favorite videos and inscriptions, however, does not seem to have received a makeover and appear the same as before (except for the darker bar above).

The restyling of YouTube is part of a process of renewal of Google services began with the launch of Google + and soon to continue with the replacement of brand Blogger and Picasa with Google services and Google Blogs Photos. The graphics of Google Calendar is changed, while that Gmail can be adapted to the new style of “Big G” by setting the theme “Preview” in the options of the service.

To disable the look of Cosmic YouTube Panda, just return to the main project page (the one linked above) and click on older version. If you have tips or complaints to Google about to do the new theme, use the blue tab Center which is located on the left side of every page of the site. In the meantime, let us know us what you think of this “cosmic Panda” through the comments.
